The Plant Pathology Department of the Agricultural University of Athens has been working in the field of several plant pathogens from many years. Expertise in several fields of plant pathology and in olive diseases in particular. A lot of research on ecology, epidemiology and biological control of fungal and bacterial diseases has been carried out by its scientific personnel. Furthermore Dr. E. Paplomatas as assistant Professor in the Lab, specialist in investigating phylogenetic relationships on Verticillium species.
